Standard

These are simple confessions I wrote a few years back from the book of James. You can speak them over your life. (1)

I know that perseverance will finish its work in me so that I can become mature and complete, not lacking anything.
When enveloped in trials, I will be joyful because I know the testing of my faith develops perseverance.

Even though I lack wisdom, I know Lord that when I ask in faith – not doubting –

You will give it to me,
and You will not find fault in me or resent me.
I believe that if I ask ANYTHING in faith I shall receive it.
I also know that if I doubt I will receive nothing.

I get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent in my life.
I accept the Word, which has the power to save my soul.
I am a doer of the Word. I obey the Word,
I’m not merely a listener, I do not betray myself into deception.

I control my tongue. I keep myself unspotted and uncontaminated
from the world. I show no prejudice or favoritism.
I do well because I love my neighbor as myself.

I will keep the whole law and won’t stumble in order that I may not be guilty of breaking it all.
God’s mercy towards me will win over His judgment against me because I am merciful towards others.
My faith is accompanied by deeds and actions of obedience.
I believe and trust in God and this is accounted me as righteousness,
as conformity to God’s will in thought and deed.
I am a friend of God!
I am not jealous neither do I desire what others have
I will resist the devil and he WILL flee from me
I will not judge others because I am a doer of the law and not a judge of it.
My yes is yes and my no is no.
When I’m suffering evil, I will pray.
When I’m sick my prayer in faith will heal me and the Lord will restore me,
and my sins will be forgiven.
I will confess my sins and will be restored.
My prayers make tremendous power available.
I do not harbor bitter envy in my heart, I do not boast or deny the truth.
I do my deeds in humility through the wisdom of heaven, which is pure, peaceful, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, impartial and sincere.
I receive what I ask, because I ask it with the right motives.
I wash my hands and purify my heart because I am not double minded. I humble myself before God and he lifts me up and makes my life significant.
I am blessed because I persevere.
